    What sets us apart?

We are a group of lifelong learners who revel in discovering new tools, ways of working and technologies that allow us to keep growing our abilities.

    What You'll Do Here:

    Your Team: Engineering

    • Creating an authoring, teaching, learning and evaluation platform to support students in achieving mastery of their subjects
    • Continuously improving our underlying platform based on market and customer needs and desires
    • Adapting and applying the latest technologies and processes to improve learner outcomes

    Your Role: Associate UI Engineer

You’ve presented to clients and helped them sort out needs vs. wants. You've built some slick web apps and designed some enticing interfaces. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, check. Yet, you feel held back. You're sick of government contracts and boring projects in generic office buildings. Your job doesn’t align with your philosophy. You think, "I could build something better than this". You post your personal projects to GitHub when you get the time, but not as much as you'd like.  You’re ready for a change. We’re looking for you to:

    • Work with a close and supportive team to produce valuable features that address validated business and customer needs
    • Extend and improve our platform using JavaScript to develop rich UIs
    • Work with an engineering team that practices industry leading CI/CD practices
    • Augment your skills by learning and practicing new technologies
    • Work with product managers and UX designers to translate business value into polished user interfaces

    Skills You Will Need Here:

    • You have strong web design skills, including responsive best practices across multiple device browsers
    • You have a good aesthetic sense and are up to date on UI design trends
    • You are interested in working with functional programming
    • You have experience building rich and highly interactive single page web applications
    • You possess proficiency with JavaScript, CSS, and HTML and related technologies including jQuery and SASS

     Extra credit for:

    • Experience with React
    • Experience with Sketch
    • You have experience in the education domain (especially working with higher education instructors)
