The Software Engineer, Salesforce will immediately contribute to the ongoing expansion of the platform to enable Cengage’s continuing evolution towards digital learning. Contribution will include both solution engineering in support of internal projects as well as ongoing support for Cengage’s Salesforce.com (SFDC) platform and solutions. The Solution Engineer must understand business requirements and expertly design, develop, and articulate solutions using SFDC capabilities. This role will help ensure that the SFDC engineering team improves efficiency and utilizes the full feature and benefits of the Salesforce systems with a bias towards “Click over Code” (configuration over custom development).
The candidate will work with a variety of people (platform owners, technical peers and business partners) to ensure that maximum value is delivered to clients and must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.
The candidate must possess superb communication, analytical and time management skills. In addition, he/she must demonstrate ability and desire to continually adapt in a fast-evolving environment; analytical and problem-solving way of thought; overall resilient, flexible, and hardworking personality.
Experience in providing solutions architecture and delivery for SFDC applications. Excellent analytical, technology, communication, decision-making, problem-solving and SFDC skills are required.
