    Cengage Learning Management Services is a shared service center providing Accounting support and services for Business Units within Cengage Learning.  Services and support include transactional processing, data analysis, and reporting, for both Domestic and International units. 

     

    The Sr. Revenue Analyst supports the business by completing a wide range of analysis surrounding the customer revenue cycle. The position works closely with various different departments within the organization: Finance, A/R, Customer Service, Collections, as well as our external customers. The candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of the full revenue cycle.  To be successful in the role, this person needs to work well in a team environment, be collaborative, have great attention to detail, and be innovative. Needs to work well in a fast-paced environment & motivated to draft change. 

    What You'll Do Here:

    • Supports cross-functional processes related to revenue.
    • Builds/improves processes & procedures within those revenue-related functions.
    • Implement & perform revenue analytics to support monthly requests from business and Senior Leadership.
    • Drive business process change to support Cengage Unlimited.
    • Utilize JD Edwards Enterprise One, & Hyperion.
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal teams to deliver data and analysis.
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet the goals of the department.
    • Supports ad hoc requests around OPEX, COS, etc.
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and company goals.

    Skills You Will Need Here:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with accounting & reporting systems and financial / revenue analysis
    • Strong understanding of financial analysis techniques
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel (pivots & lookups & Power Pivot)
    • Must be quantitatively inclined, results oriented, innovative, adaptable, strong attention to detail, and capable of working independently
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build working relationships with all levels of management and stakeholders
    • Strong understanding of internal controls
    • Experience with ERP Systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards or Enterprise 1
    • Ability to work with deadlines
