As a Content Creation Manager, you are the leader of a high-performing, service-oriented, team of Content Managers and In-House Subject Matter Experts who oversee the creation and delivery of high-quality content across different mediums and platforms, in alignment with product strategy. By managing CMs and SMEs you ensure they are maximizing product strategy and learner success. You work collaboratively with functional managers to promote communication and a positive culture, and ensure your team is empowered to manage assigned projects in a changing environment, focused on delivering products that meet the defined requirements, and are responsive to market needs.
Hires, retains, and grows a content creation team. Enables direct reports to effectively execute their role and contribute towards the success of each product's strategic and financial goals. Provides coaching, mentoring, feedback, and performance appraisals, and supports continuous learning and staff development that enhances individual and team skills and competencies. Helps direct reports turn creative ideas into solutions. Embodies the Cengage Ethos, leads by example, and promotes positive team health. Collaborates with other functional managers to enable individual contributor and team success. Synthesizes and shares relevant information out to teams, leadership, and stakeholders. Gains familiarity with Cengage learning design principles and ensures that the team is following those principles.

Provides support and leadership of analysis, design, development, training, and implementation of documentation and processes for efficient content creation; continuous improvement of resources and processes; measurement and evaluation of staff leading to continuous performance improvement. Participates in or leads working groups and task forces. Tracks and measures risk to on-time, on-budget product creation. Fosters productive relationships with preferred vendors to drive quality outcomes.
