What You'll Do Here:

As Marketing Operations Coordinator, you’ll be the go-to person supporting the wide-ranging impact of our Directors of Operations, Marketing Technology, Measurement & Analytics, Web, Automation, and the VP of Marketing Operations.

 

In this role, you'll wear many hats--from gathering inputs for a presentation to consolidating action items to administrative tasks. Your detailed mindset, process-orientation, people-focus and impeccable written and verbal communication skills will be valued by every member of the team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Help scale Marketing Operations’ impact by keeping the team’s internal SharePoint site up-to-date with all marketing processes, references, links.
  • Maintain contract database for technology vendors, ensuring appropriate user access, renewal dates, assisting with contract negotiation meetings and keeping minutes of key discussions to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Assist with new vendor setup, and timely coding and processing of vendor invoices.
  • Support Marketing Operations’ commitment to data quality through regular audits and remediation of data quality errors in Automation and Lead Management.
  • Perform a critical role in Cengage’s privacy function by owning marketing response to all “right to be forgotten” requests, per the General Data Protection Regulation and Cengage policies.
  • Help ensure Cengage’s customer focus by monitoring the general marketing email inbox and marshaling the right resources to resolve customer concerns.
  • Work with the Directors and VP of Marketing Operations to arrange meetings, develop and distribute clear agendas, record minutes and gather status on commitments from these meetings.
  • hoc reporting and projects of many varieties, including generation of campaign result reports to promote data-driven decision making by Marketing team.

 

Skills You Will Need Here:

 Required Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
  • 2 years of work experience in a professional office environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, project-management skills—with an ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills required with MS Office experience preferred.
