Job Title: Senior Cassandra Engineer
Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus one (1) year experience in building, maintaining and supporting DataStax Enterprise Cassandra in an AWS cloud environment. Or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience in building, maintaining and supporting DataStax Enterprise Cassandra in an AWS cloud environment. Must also possess the following: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) using source code control systems (Git, Stash, Subversion, or CVS) and build/integration tools, including Maven and Jenkins to develop Cassandra environment; DE monitoring operations frameworks, including Appneta, Logic Monitor, DSE OpsCenter, Dynatrace, and OpsGenie, and performing AWS monitoring to guarantee 24/7 uptime; DE implementing tooling for monitoring, supporting, maintaining and validating DataStax Enterprise (DSE) and Apache Cassandra rings; DE spearheading Cassandra projects, including implementation and evangelizing the technology; and DE in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to Agile methodologies.
