Milady, a part of Cengage, serving beauty and wellness students, educators, school owners and professionals, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Marketing Coordinator. The Marketing Coordinator will help with a variety of activities including managing and updating social media channels, interacting with followers, customers, and providing support when needed. Marketing Coordinator will make sure that all Milady online presences are up to date and assist with marketing activities at each step in the customer journey.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Engage with Milady social media followers including responding to comments and engaging in Facebook groups
  • Manage content on Facebook groups and work closely with content providers
  • Serve as point of contact and first-line approver for customer sample requests
  • Work with state associations and other industry groups to coordinate conference materials (shipping, A/V, and Internet requirements) in collaboration with Account Managers
  • Assist Marketing Manager with all tasks related to large industry conferences
  • Assist in developing email copy for a variety of marketing campaigns
  • Develop and execute initiatives to drive user-generated content and increase engagement
  • Regularly review Milady web presences and make changes/updates as needed
  • Provide tracking and metrics to assist in assessing marketing efforts and planning future marketing initiatives
  • Work with copy editor to ensure content accuracy and consistency across all channels
  • Assist in campaign planning for social media, email, web and other digital channels

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • AS/AA in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations or related field
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
  • Social media and social analytics knowledge in a professional environment
  • Knowledge of Facebook page management, Facebook Ads, Instagram, Wordpress, or Google Analytics desired
  • 1–2 years marketing experience desired
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a dynamic team environment
  • Desire to learn new skills and apply new knowledge to reach team objectives
  • Knowledge of or interest in beauty industry is preferred
