What You'll Do Here:

As a member of the National Geographic Learning team, the Marketing Coordinator supports the Global ELT Marketing group with marketing and sales support for all international marketing teams and the Young Learners/Teens/Academic/Adult markets. This position works closely with the Product Marketing team on marketing campaigns and initiatives as well as performing a variety of ongoing tasks. Additionally, they will support our brand-building efforts through creating and scheduling social media content.

 

Organization and attention to detail are critical to ensuring timely and accurate completion of marketing projects. This position coordinates with other departments, such as Sales, Editorial, Production, Technology, and Operations in the completion of his/her duties.

 

  • Provide support to Product Marketing team for brand and product marketing campaigns
  • Assist with a wide variety of projects for the Product Manager team, Systems team, international Regional Managers, and global head offices
  • Work with the Global ELT Marketing team to create social media content to be deployed on our global accounts
  • Provide logistics support for sales meetings, conventions, and both internal and external events and meetings
  • Assist with data-gathering and market research initiatives
  • Work closely with Creative Services team to manage print production projects including quoting, project specifications, P.O. generation, shipping requirements, tracking CLDC delivery
  • Work with Director of Global Marketing on Speaker Travel, including complex international flight arrangements, Visa applications, travel advisories, vaccination requirements
  • Maintain department databases, such as author/speaker travel, and contact lists
  • Act as Finance liaison for Global ELT Marketing, including vendor setup, invoice processing, intercompany transfers, monthly reallocation of Meeting Card expenses, troubleshooting
  • Use in-house systems – Catalyst, Data Warehouse, Alfresco, SharePoint, Magellan, Widen, Workfront – to perform various tasks
  • Minimal overnight travel may be required. Limited travel around conferences may be needed (3-5 days per year maximum)
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet department and company goals

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • 4-Year degree required
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must display initiative and flexibility, be detail-oriented, accurate, thorough
  • Must be able to successfully prioritize tasks in order to ensure that all projects meet schedules
  • Ability to problem-solve and multi-task
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • 1 or 2 years of experience in a similar role or in a marketing team preferred
