The primary responsibility of the Senior Product Marketing Manager is to contribute to the success of the designated K-5 Mathematics product line by directing and supervising all marketing aspects related to product development, strategic marketing plans and execution, and implementing campaigns to achieve revenue goals. The Senior Product Marketing Manager is expected to have a thorough understanding of the content and strategies of all designated product lines as well as knowledge of current curricular trends and marketing practices. The Senior Product Marketing Manager for K-5 Mathematics plays an instrumental role in the successful partnership National Geographic Learning maintains with Big Ideas Learning (BIL).
Develops and executes high-impact marketing plans to create brand awareness, strong lead generation, and adoption success for BIL’s K-5 core mathematics programs. Maintains deep market knowledge of trends, issues, and competitors in the market space for stronger messaging, strategy, and collaboration with BIL.
While not a core responsibility, also responsible for the support on the development and execution of marketing for the Grades 6-8 math market given the program and market continuum from grades K-8.
Regularly collaborates with BIL on national and state-specific product development, third-party product reviews, coordinated marketing plans, and other initiatives to ensure the successful revenue growth.
Collaborates with BIL and NGL Sales on both national and territory-specific (i.e., state adoption) sales campaigns including strategy development and execution.
Works across groups and departments to maximize information sharing and improve the exchange between the product management team and sales, marketing, development, fulfillment, and support.
Mentors team members to ensure the quality, consistency, and timeliness of the department's output, and to prioritize and focus actions, efforts and resources on meeting revenue and expense goals.
Bachelor’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; a minimum of five years related PreK-12 marketing experience or equivalent related experience.
