The Senior International Financial Analyst will be a vital member of a small International HQ team. S/he will be charged with bringing transparency, consistency and accountability to CL International’s go-to-market performance at a customer level.  S/he will work cross-functionally to develop metrics, pipelines and tracking tools which enable global management to drive fact-based performance in concert with local management.   The position performs monthly, weekly and daily compilation of international sales dashboards for Higher Ed (HE), English Language Teaching (ELT) and Gale divisions. Dashboards are communicated to Headquarter (HQ) management, regional executives, and regional sales and marketing directors.  Dashboards include historical customer activity, budget expectations, CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) expectations, and latest forecasts.  This position collects regional feedback and updates dashboards on a dynamic and iterative basis.   - Build and maintain sales reporting dashboards, and communicates results to appropriate management teams - Performs sales analysis by customer, product line and discipline using large data sets gathered from multiple systems and utilizing advanced excel data manipulation techniques - Automate reporting tools via interfaces with regional ERPs, regional CRM, and consolidations tools. As Executive Editor for our Primary list, you will supervise the development of multi-level, multi-component programs, as well as significant strands/components or other programs, in multiple delivery formats. You will participate in research and planning with the goal of meeting the needs of the customer and strengthening National Geographic Learning’s impact in the marketplace. The successful candidate will exhibit educational subject-matter expertise, familiarity with classroom practices, awareness of educational trends in the competitive marketplace, and will be able to apply these towards defining new products/components and contributing innovative, customer-centered ideas to program plans. Through skilled supervision of staff and effective communication with vendors, the Executive Editor will also ensure that our products meet NGL quality, creativity, and market/customer expectations while being produced and delivered on schedule and within budget.   Responsibilities:   1.  Conceptualization and Planning (25%) - Participates in content and editorial research for programs and program components by viewing focus groups, making school visits, and attending professional conferences and webinars, and by reading professional publications. - Works with the Publisher to apply knowledge of market trends and competitive environments to help conceptualize new products and define product configurations and specifications. - Assures that new, customer-centered technology is appropriately integrated into all program plans. Assists Editorial director in directing how content is reconciled per authors, consultants, and teacher reviewers. - Maintains factual and editorial quality in own work and reviews editorial team’s work, ensuring factual and editorial quality through all phases of development. - Trains writers and editors to accomplish content and market goals. - As requested, participates in the rollout of new products. - Supervises post-publication reviews and ensures that corrections adhere to agreed-upon department policies, state requirements, budgets, and schedules.  3.  Financial Management (5%) - Understands the components of a project budget and the cost drivers of a project. - Makes development decisions that keep program budgets within approved cost projections.
